La Temporada 1984 de la CART IndyCar World Series fue la sexta temporada de la Championship Auto Racing Teams, se corrieron 16 carreras, comenzando en Long Beach, California, el 31 de marzo y concluyendo en Las Vegas, Nevada, el 10 de noviembre. El campeón de la PPG CART IndyCar World Series fue el estadounidense Mario Andretti que no ganaba la IndyCar desde que era sancionada por la USAC, y el ganador de las 68.ª edición de las 500 Millas de Indianápolis fue el estadounidense Rick Mears, el destacado novato del año fue el piloto colombiano Roberto José Guerrero.
