Star of the Seas es un crucero de Royal Caribbean International y es el segundo crucero de la clase Icon construido.[1] El nombre se anunció el 5 de octubre de 2023.[2] entró en servicio el 31 de agosto de 2025 y tiene su puerto base en Puerto Cañaveral (Florida).[3]

El Star of the Seas tiene un tonelaje bruto de 248.663 y capacidad para 5.610 pasajeros. Comparte el título del crucero más grande del mundo con su barco gemelo Icon of the Seas.[4][5]
Historia

El corte de acero para el barco comenzó el 15 de febrero de 2023[6][7], el nombre se anunció el 5 de octubre de 2023[8], la quilla se colocó el 15 de diciembre de 2023[9], y el barco fue botado el 25 de septiembre de 2024.[10][11][12] Las pruebas de mar tuvieron lugar en la primavera de 2025[13] y el barco fue entregado en julio.[14] Atracó en la ciudad de Cádiz en ese mes. Entró en servicio a partir del 16 de agosto de 2025.[15]
