Summary
Ivo de Vesci, también Yves I de Vescy (fl. 1066) fue un noble caballero anglonormando, primer barón de Alnwick (Northumberland)[1] y Malton (Yorkshire). Junto a su hermano Robert siguió a Guillermo II de Normandía en la conquista de Inglaterra y participó en la batalla de Hastings,[2] por lo que recibió diecinueve señoríos en Northampton, Warwickshire, Lincolnshire y Leicester por los servicios prestados. Ambos hermanos fueron benefactores de la abadía de Santa María de York. En 1096, Ivo erigió las primeras partes del castillo de Alnwick para defender la frontera norte de Inglaterra de las invasiones escocesas,[3] obra que acabó su yerno Eustace fitz John.[4]

Herencia
editarEl rey Guillermo le otorgó en matrimonio a Alda Tison, nieta de Gilbert Tison. Fruto de esa relación nació Beatrix de Vesci (c. 1090-1115), esposa de Eustace fitz John.[5]
